When does a dream start?

Also, once it starts can it evolve? Yes, of course! A dream is a living thing - thought, idea, or a life line.
Mine started, well, I don't know for sure. I do remember in my early 20's of dreaming of being a novelist in a secluded cabin in the mountains writing my days away. Staring out the window at the water just beyond the trees. Breathing in the cool, fresh, pine scented air. Creating new worlds in my mind and bringing those worlds to life on paper. Typing in my word processor, that high tech typewriter replacement. Mind you, I did not studying writing in any university, but I did take correspondence courses on Children's Literature. Then the real life of adulting took the forefront and my dream was filed away, for a "little while"
I'm not sure when my husband's dream started, but it was long before we met.
One day, a few years back, somehow our dreams started coming back to the forefront of our minds. Together we decided to look for land. Ideally, with a house/camp/cabin on it. We found one. The building was a lost cause, no matter what the slick realtor tried to portray. BUT the land had such potential. We tried to put in an offer the next day, but the realtor didn't return our calls. After a few days we noticed a "pending" sign on the property. It wasn't meant to be.
The next place had much more potential. We put in our offer and it was accepted. Then the wait....the legal wait. The property was just over an acre, but was split up into tiny subplots of land caught in a tangled web of ownerships. Three names, at least. We really wanted it, but we didn't want to leave that legal mess for our kids or grandkids after we leave this human existence. So, after a year of trying to get it cleared up, we had to walk away.
We looked online and found that one of the properties that we have been glancing at during the last couple of years was still available. We looked at it, called the realtor and sent in the good faith deposit. The deed.....was clear!! We bought the farm!! Well, part of a farm. The family who owned the property that used to be used as a cattle farm was split up into lots and sold. We bought Lot #3, just over 5 acres with a "house" and pond. Our first view, right before our offer was accepted is at the top of the page. That was April 2022.
The dream.....a new dream...has begun.
