By the end of summer we had about 3-1/2 of the 5 and a smidge acres cleared. We had some family over for the weekend - we camped out Saturday night (there were 3 couples and tents all together) then on Sunday we entertained more family and friends for a Labor Day cookout. We were in the moment and didn't get any pictures of the cookout, but it was a success! There was beautiful weather all day, but a storm was brewing and that sent we campers home for Sunday night.
It ended the long weekend early, but it was a blessing in disguise, John hadn't been feeling great and took a turn that evening. Long story short, he spent a good portion of September in and out of the hospital and our time at The Gathering was very limited. Our shed was delivered, a bad windstorm took out our carport. but we were able to save everything, except some of the poles.
Winter was almost here.............
